The 4 Seasons pattern is design to show the cycle of life beginning with the budding of spring in the upper left corner and moves down to the full bloom of summer, the maturing and aging of  fall and slumber of winter. The Chinese calligraphy for each season brings style and beauty to the design. On the right side of the pattern is Ecclesiastes 3 in calligraphy and English. The verse reads: To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Stitch either with or without the side verse.
